Good bye Corporate America! I am leaving you to pursue my heart. I am leaving you to fully embrace my purpose and express my passion. For over 25 years I have made you several million dollars through selling your goods and services. I have marched to your beat. I drank your Kool-Aid.

Corporate America you have been good to me! You have paid me well over a million dollars throughout our relationship. You have afforded me a lifestyle that the majority of black males in America from single parent households do not experience. More importantly you provided exposure, training and experience that I believe provides me a competitive advantage in building a basketball program from scratch. However, wisdom says its better to be in the right relationship then to be in a good relationship.
Being a sales and marketing professional was good. Being a basketball coach is right. Being a basketball coach that is also a digital sales and marketing professional is GREAT!
I started my professional career coaching college basketball and throughout my 25 year relationship with you, I was always doing something related to basketball. I secured a patent on an alternative basketball sport. I produced several events featuring variations of the game of the basketball. I have produced a variety basketball related content; videos, podcasts, blogs and an ebook. I was never faithful to your jobs. I always struggled with my commitment. I know what it takes to win and this knowledge always gnawed at me because knew I couldn't give you my best. Neither could I give basketball my best.
I always had more wins than loses with basketball. I always experienced more success than failures with basketball. At this stage of my life, I just want do what I am anointed to do and that is leverage the sport of basketball as a platform to be a positive force in the lives of others.
